The Premodern Spanish History Association of the Midwest (PSHAM) was founded in 2001 to provide an opportunity for Hispanists to discuss current research and provide constructive criticism on works in progress. We meet annually on a Saturday in the spring (usually early March) and welcome participants in premodern Iberian studies, broadly defined, though works in progress on more recent historical topics will be considered depending on interest and submissions. We discuss pre-circulated draft book chapters, dissertation chapters, articles, and conference papers, and welcome attendance, participation, and submissions from graduate students, independent scholars, and faculty. Meetings have been held at campuses in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and Illinois. For more information, or to be added to our email list, please contact Gretchen Starr-LeBeau, starrle@uky.edu, or Valentina Tikoff, vtikoff@depaul.edu.
